Eleven years ago, KRC started with an idea to collect books that children had outgrown and redistribute them to children who had no books at home. What was supposed to be one book drive turned into annual book drives, parent workshops, and an ongoing children's literacy program. 

Kids Research Center believes that literacy is the foundation for education. KRC’s mission is to build a positive association with reading by engaging children in fun, interactive programs that instill confidence and motivate them to keep on learning.  

 Our programs have reached over 20 New York and New Jersey neighborhoods. Hundreds of children have gone through our programs and our book drives have placed thousands of books in homes and after school programs. Read more about our history here.
